| The resort
city of VIRGINIA BEACH is famous for its 20 mile
long stretch of surf and sand. Edging the sand is a long
Boardwalk with beautiful landscaping, wood benches,
small parks and a bike and skating path lit by street lamps.
Besides the seaside, other attractions include the Virginia
Marine Science Museum, which features all things aquatic,
from submarines to seabirds. History buffs will delight
in the First Landing State Park where the Jamestown
settlers landed ashore. Located to the south is the Back
Bay National Wildlife Refuge, where you can fish and
watch the migrating birds along the beach and marshlands.
