| TAMPA
is located at the mouth of the Hillsborough River, on the
west coast of Florida. The downtown area is centered around
Franklin Street. To the southeast is the Tampa Museum
of Art, which houses a nice collection of Greek, Roman
and Etruscan antiquities. No trip would be complete without
seeing the Florida Aquarium with its tanks and displays
of sea creatures. Located three miles to the east of town
is Ybor City, the original site of the cigar industry
that spurned Tampa's growth. To the ortheast is Busch
Gardens, a fantastic theme park that re-creates colonial
Africa with live animals and safari rides. |
