The towering New Capitol Building of TALLAHASSEE
dominates the downtown area. Standing in the shadows of
its height is the Old Capitol Building. The best
way to see the historic sites is to take Old Town Trolleys,
which provide free 20-minute tours of the downtown historic
district. The Apalachicola National Forest is located
on the western fringe of town and many other state and
national parks are within a short distance from town.
A fun side trip to the old tobacco town of Havana, just
a short drive from Tallahassee will delight you with its
art galleries, antique and collectible shops.
