Known as the crossroads of Europe, STRASBOURG is located halfway between Paris and Prague. Visible throughout the city is the stunning spire of the Gothic Cathedral Notre-Dame that dominates most of Alsace. The stately Classical Palais Rohan houses three museums; the Musée des Beaux Arts, the Musée Archéologique and the Musée des Arts Décoratifs. Other museums worth visiting are the Musée d'Art Moderne et Contemporain, featuring work from the mid 1800's to the present and the Musée Alsacien, which contains exhibits on locat tradtition, arts,and crafts.
