| When
the last steel mill shut down in 1980, PITTSBURGH began
rebuilding itself into a clean and beautiful city based
on the high tech industry. Endowed by one of the city's
famous steel magnates, the Carnegie Institute's Museum
of Art houses several brilliant collections ranging
from ancient Egyptian sculpture to Impressionist, Post-impressionist
and modern American art. The Carnegie Science Center
houses interactive displays and exhibits of western Pennsylvania's
heritage. The Andy Warhol Museum celebrates the Pittsburgh
born founder of American Pop Art, Any Warhol with a collection
of his work. |
