The lively resort of PANAMA CITY BEACH has long
been known as the "Red Neck Riviera" due to
its proximity to the bordering states of Georgia, Alabama,
Mississippi, and Louisiana. With over sixteen miles of
blindingly white sandy beaches, tropical emerald green
water and year-round moderate temperatures, it is the
largest resort on Florida's popular Panhandle coast. Water
sports facilites are excellent here and scuba divers will
find some nice explorable shipwrecks in the area. It offers
a long strip of bars, amusement parks, and affordable
motels as well as some posh luxury resorts and condominiums.
