Imagine three quarters of a million gallons of water
crashing over the side of NIAGARA FALLS every
single second. Boats, catwalks, observation towers and
helicopters all push as near to the crashing wall of water
as possible to allow visitors a view of the spectacular
scene. At night the falls are lit up, creating a mustical
experience when the colored waters tumble into total blackness.
In winter, the frozen landscape is accented by its gigantic
icicles. The spectacle is shared by the US and Canada.
Surprisingly, the Canadian side is much better set up
to handle tourists than the economy depressed New York
side, so make sure to bring your passport.
