LEXINGTON is Kentucky's second largest city and
is located eighty miles east of Louisville. The bluegrass
fields surrounding the city are filled with thorobreds
and stud farms where Kentucky Derby entrants are raised
and trained. Located north of the city is the Kentucky
Horse Park, a working horse park where visitors can
ride ponies, take escorted trail rides and carriage tours.
Its museums exhibit the development of horses and the
history of registered breeds. Inside the city, tour the
Mary Todd Lincoln House, the girlhood home of President
Abraham Lincoln's wife, Mary.
