| The Florida
Keys run southwest off the tip of the Florida peninsula.
This is a nature lover's paradise, where fishing, snorkeling
and diving explore the treasuress of the Florida Reef, a
band of living coral located off the coast. The southernmost
settlement, KEY WEST has lavish, Caribbean-style
streets with plenty of friendly bars and spectacular sunsets.
Most of its main sights are within a few blocks of Duval
Street. The Wreckers' Museum was originally the home
of the wreck captain Francis B. Watlington and displays
some eccentric maritime and nautical exhibits. A prime attraction
is the Hemingway Home, where novelist Ernest Hemingway
lived from 1931 to 1940. |
